It leads to the formation of 2'-O-methylcytidine (Cm34) in tRNA(Leu)(CAA) and 5-carboxymethylaminomethyl-2'-O-methyluridine (cmnm5Um34) in tRNA(Leu)(UAA). The enzyme requires the presence of 2-methylthio-N6- isopentenyladenosine at position 37 (ms2i6A37) for activity.
